Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's a family favorite that we make around this time every year. It goes great with Irish Stew or Corned Beef and Cabbage. Enjoy!

Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
4 cups of flour plus a small amount for dusting
2 teaspoons of Sea Salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 375° F

Add all dry ingredients to mixer on medium speed to combine. Slowly add the milk, a little at a time, until the dough is soft but not sticky. Lightly dust a work surface with flour and knead dough for three minutes by hand until smooth and elastic. Grease a baking sheet and shape the dough into a round loaf. Slash a cross shape on top of the loaf with a razor blade or very sharp knife. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool thoroughly.
